Job Summary: At GrowBy, we are seeking a DevOps Engineer to ensure applications reach production quickly, repeatably, and securely—and remain stable, observable, and available once there. Key Responsibilities: 1. Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines in GitLab 2. Build and optimize Docker images and deploy them on Kubernetes 3. We work with teams shipping products to production every day, and we seek individuals who want to build and sustain robust, reliable platforms. **Your mission in this role** As a DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring applications reach production quickly, repeatably, and securely—and that, once deployed, they remain stable, observable, and available. You will be the natural owner of the delivery lifecycle: automating pipelines, packaging and orchestrating applications, and building the observability layer that keeps everything under control. You won’t write the product itself, but you will build the path by which the product reaches the end user. **What you’ll do:** * Design, implement, and maintain GitLab CI/CD pipelines for multiple services and environments (development, QA, staging, production). * Build and optimize Docker images, and deploy and scale workloads on Kubernetes clusters (Deployments, Services, Ingress, ConfigMaps, Secrets, HPA). * Integrate SonarQube as a quality gate and monitor quality metrics and technical debt. * Implement and maintain the observability stack with Grafana and Prometheus: dashboards, actionable alerts, SLIs, and SLOs. * Administer PostgreSQL instances: deployment, backups, restoration, replication, and performance monitoring. * Provision infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible, or equivalent), avoiding untraceable manual changes. * Participate in incident management: diagnosis, mitigation, service restoration, and blameless post-mortem analysis. * Collaborate closely with development teams to embed operability from design, promote automation, and document runbooks and procedures. **What we’re looking for:** Essential requirements: * Degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computing, Electronics, or related fields (technical profiles with demonstrable equivalent experience are also accepted). * 3–4 years of experience in DevOps, SRE, Cloud Engineer, Platform Engineer, or infrastructure administration roles—operating applications in real production environments. * Proficiency in GitLab CI/CD, Docker, and Kubernetes (cluster operations and deployment troubleshooting). * Experience with Grafana, SonarQube, and PostgreSQL (operational administration: backups, restores, replication, basic tuning). * Advanced Linux administration and scripting in Bash and/or Python for automation. * Proficiency in Git, including branching strategies and collaborative workflows.
