Over the past 30 years, Alinea has managed over 350 projects across dozens of countries. The project “Women as Guardians of Biodiversity and Climate Resilience in Wetland and Peatland Landscapes” (MGB, its Spanish acronym) aims to empower women—including Indigenous women—to conserve high-altitude wetlands and peatlands, strengthening climate resilience in Bolivia, Ecuador, and Peru. The regional office is located in Lima (Peru), and implementation is underway in seven communities situated within buffer zones of three protected areas designated as Ramsar Sites—wetlands of international importance under the 1971 Ramsar Convention. Within this effort—and with the significant collaboration of YPARD for Latin America—we are implementing our volunteer program “Youth for RAMSAR”, an initiative designed to connect emerging talent with conservation work, enabling them to contribute their knowledge while learning—from our technical team and international experts—about the critical role women play in protecting Andean biodiversity. Alinea International Ltd. **The Position** * Provide support in delivering leadership, effective communication, and negotiation workshops targeted at women participants of the project. * Support training processes aimed at strengthening women’s participation in community-level decision-making spaces. * Assist in systematizing field data for biodiversity monitoring (species, ecosystems, environmental indicators). * Attend meetings with local stakeholders such as observers/learners, supporting note-taking for follow-up and agreement systematization. * Contribute to developing innovative strategies to strengthen community participation and cohesion among local stakeholders. * Project documentation management * Other tasks mutually agreed upon in advance with the technical team. **Required Qualifications:** * **Age:** Between 20 and 25 years old. * **Academic Background:** Final-year university or technical students, or recent graduates (within the last 2 years) in sociology, anthropology, law, or related disciplines, with interest in social processes linked to natural resource management and territorial governance. **Desirable Knowledge:** * Knowledge of or interest in social dynamics and territorial conflicts in rural or Indigenous communities. * Basic understanding of natural resource governance and community-based territorial management. * Familiarity with community participation, facilitation of participatory processes, or social dialogue. * Sensitivity to and understanding of cultural diversity and interculturality in Andean contexts. * Effective communication and basic mediation skills for engaging with diverse community stakeholders. * Basic knowledge of social information collection methods (interviews, observation, surveys). * Proficiency in basic office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). * Knowledge of or experience in Andean contexts will be highly valued. **Skills and Competencies:** * Strong written and verbal communication skills, particularly for supporting report writing or developing educational materials. * Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams and with people from diverse cultural backgrounds. * Interest in learning on-the-ground, with a proactive attitude, social sensitivity, and collaborative orientation. * Organizational skills, attention to detail, and responsibility in completing assigned tasks. * Adaptability to participate in both office- and rural-community-based activities. * Capacity for active listening, trust-building, and facilitating dialogue in diverse community settings. **Job Categories:** Active Projects **Job Types:** Volunteer **Job Locations:** Arequipa Peru
