




Position Summary: Supports the development of Disaster Risk Management Plans, information collection, map creation, and assistance in risk scenarios and participatory workshops. Collaboration in the development of thematic maps using GIS tools **Associated Area:** Disaster Risk Management / Capacity Strengthening **Essential Requirements:** * Final-year student or recent graduate in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Geographical Engineering, Geological Engineering, or related fields. * Basic knowledge of Disaster Risk Management (DRM). * Basic understanding of DRM regulations (Law No. 29664 and its regulations). * Basic proficiency in office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). * Interest in fieldwork and learning data collection techniques. * Willingness to participate in workshops and participatory processes. **Desirable Requirements:** * Basic knowledge of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) (ArcGIS, QGIS, Google Earth, or others). * Introductory knowledge in thematic map development. * Familiarity with risk analysis, risk scenarios, or CENEPRED methodologies. * Basic knowledge of geospatial information or satellite image processing. * Interest in hydrological/hydraulic modeling (desirable, not mandatory). **Desirable Courses and Trainings:** * Introduction to Disaster Risk Management. * Geographic Information Systems (GIS). * Incident Command System (ICS) – basic level. * Damage Assessment and Needs Analysis (DANA) – basic level. * Environmental management and climate change. **Competencies:** * Ability to learn and adapt. * Interest in territorial and environmental analysis. * Basic writing skills. * Effective communication and willingness to work in teams. * Proactivity and initiative. * Organization and responsibility. **Main Functions:** * Support the development of Disaster Risk Management Plans. * Support information collection, systematization, and analysis. * Collaborate in the development of basic thematic maps using GIS tools. * Provide support in developing risk scenarios. * Support geospatial information and satellite image processing. * Participate in field activities for data collection. * Support the organization and facilitation of participatory workshops. * Assist in preparing technical reports and presentations. **Conditions:** * Modality: In-person * Location: Province * Economic subsidy, per diems, meals, and accommodation provided * Work schedule: 20 days on / 10 days off Salary: S/.1,500\.00 per month Workplace: In-person employment
