Come and be part of our global health movement! https://www.pih.org/ https://sociosensalud.org.pe/ **Position Title: Laboratory Technician** **Vacancies (1\)** Mission: Comprehensive support for laboratory test processing to ensure timely and high-quality diagnosis of high-impact diseases within the institution, in response to various studies and services established in the laboratory. **Requirements:** · Certified Laboratory Technician. · Minimum 2 years of experience in similar positions, preferably in public or private sector health programs or projects. * Training in biosafety or infection control, as well as in good clinical practices, ethics, or quality. * Biosafety course; clinical laboratory instrumentation or similar. * Continuing education courses or specialization studies related to or aligned with microbiology, biochemistry, molecular biology, or similar laboratory or health science topics (minimum 20 hours) completed within the last two years. * Availability to work in Chimpu Ocllo. **Responsibilities:** · Timely and accurate provision of supplies (reagents, solutions, etc.) and laboratory materials both inside and outside the BSL3, to ensure proper performance of laboratory tests. · Handling of clinical biological specimens. · Receipt, quality control, and registration in the SEIS Lab system of specimens arriving at the laboratory both inside and outside the BSL3, to ensure proper performance of laboratory tests in the study. · Initial pre-processing of specimens both inside and outside the BSL3, to ensure proper and timely performance of laboratory tests. · Basic initial equipment maintenance to ensure proper and timely performance of laboratory tests. · Fulfill responsibilities under the Quality Management System, as outlined in the Quality Policy, Quality Manual, or other relevant QMS documentation. · Other administrative and/or technical duties inherent to the position. **Conditions:** · Formal employment with statutory benefits. · Working hours: Monday–Friday \-10 AM to 5 PM; Saturday \-8 AM to 2:00 PM · Work Modality: 100% on-site · Workplace: Availability to work in Chimpu Ocllo "Applicants with disabilities must attach the corresponding certification issued by authorized institutions, in accordance with Article 76° of Law No. 29973, General Law for Persons with Disabilities."
