Position Summary:
Lead and manage a Process Engineering team to ensure timely, cost-effective, and high-quality project development, complying with safety and environmental criteria.

**POSITION MISSION:** Lead the team of professionals and external consultants specializing in Process Engineering, coordinating with Project Leaders to ensure timely, cost-effective, and high-quality delivery of engineering across conceptual study, pre-feasibility, feasibility, and execution phases (detailed engineering, construction, commissioning), in compliance with industrial safety, environmental (MASSC), and applicable criteria.
**FUNCTIONS:**
Functionally manage professionals and external consultants specializing in Process Engineering, establishing a resource allocation plan and implementing monitoring and control across various projects according to established priorities, technical specifications, and project standards.
Develop, approve, and update design criteria, discipline-specific drawings for the project portfolio, as well as internal work procedures and discipline-specific standards.
Supervise the proper execution of discipline-specific activities per agreed commitments, coordinating with relevant entities of the main contractor, user departments, and construction teams.
Timely report on the status of the discipline throughout the project portfolio lifecycle, providing support during execution phases using tracking and control tools.
Exercise expenditure and cost control over activities within the discipline.
In 2007, Aluminum Corporation of China (CHINALCO) established Minera Chinalco Perú S.A. (Chinalco Perú) to build, develop, and operate the Toromocho copper mega-project. The Toromocho Mining Unit has been the first world-class copper mine executed and developed from inception abroad by a Chinese enterprise. It is located in the district of Morococha, Yauli Province, Junín Department, at an elevation exceeding 4,500 meters above sea level. It features a concentrator plant processing approximately 117,200 tons of ore daily. Today, Chinalco Perú is one of the most important enterprises within China Copper and CHINALCO’s largest wholly-owned foreign subsidiary.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree and professional license in MECHANICAL ENGINEERING, ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING, INDUSTRIAL ENGINEERING, CHEMICAL ENGINEERING, or related engineering disciplines.
Minimum 10 years of general experience, including 4 years in the mining sector and 5 years in this position.
Intermediate-level English proficiency.
Intermediate proficiency in AutoCAD, Excel, and MS Project.
Basic-level Aconex proficiency.
Driver’s License Class A1 (desirable).
Availability to work under a 4x3 shift regime.
