Opportunities for process and equipment improvement through automation. **Mechanical Engineer – Maintenance and Automation** **Location: Trujillo** **Work Mode: On-site** **Working Hours: Full-time** **Job Objective** Responsible for planning, managing, and supervising preventive and corrective maintenance of machinery, equipment, and plant facilities, ensuring their availability and proper operation. Special responsibility will be assigned to boiler systems, steam lines, industrial equipment, and automation systems. **Main Responsibilities** * Develop and implement the annual preventive and corrective maintenance plan for machinery and equipment. * Supervise the maintenance and operation of boilers, steam lines, steam distribution systems, and associated equipment. * Manage inspections, maintenance, and repairs of steam generation and distribution systems. * Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and automation failures, coordinating necessary corrective actions. * Supervise the operation of pumps, motors, compressors, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, and other industrial equipment. * Coordinate and supervise maintenance work performed by internal staff and external vendors. * Plan plant shutdowns and major maintenance activities, coordinating with Production. * Manage spare parts, technical services, work orders, and maintenance schedules. * Identify opportunities for automation and process and equipment improvement. * Supervise control systems, sensors, frequency converters, PLCs, and other automation components. * Track maintenance KPIs such as MTBF, MTTR, availability, and preventive program compliance. * Prepare technical reports on failures, maintenance activities, and implemented improvements. * Ensure compliance with safety procedures related to maintenance work and pressure equipment. **Requirements** * Bachelor’s degree or professional title in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, or related fields. * Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial maintenance, preferably in production plants. **Proven experience in:** * Industrial boilers. * Steam lines and systems. * Steam generation and distribution systems. * Industrial machinery maintenance. * Preventive and corrective maintenance. * Industrial automation and control. * Knowledge of mechanics, electricity, pneumatics, and hydraulics. * Knowledge of PLCs, sensors, frequency converters, and control systems. * Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings. * Intermediate-level Excel proficiency. * SAP PM, CMMS, or other maintenance management software experience is desirable. * Knowledge of regulations and safety standards related to boilers and pressure equipment is desirable.
