Job Summary: Mining Engineering professional with experience in team leadership, responsible for supervising operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, and planning production in an underground mine. Focus on safety, regulatory compliance, and results **Ideal candidate for this position:** * Profession: Mining Engineering (Degree holder) * Minimum 3 years of experience in similar roles with team leadership responsibilities * Knowledge of current legal regulations (Supreme Decree No. 023-2008-EM and its amendments, Law No. 29783, Occupational Safety and Health) * Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and internet usage * Availability to work under an atypical work schedule: 20 days on / 10 days off * Availability to work at an underground mine (1-hour commute from Chala to Arequipa) * Soft skills: Personnel management, working under pressure, decision-making, results orientation, planning and organization KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Comply with and enforce company rules, policies, and procedures. * Manage and/or assist the Operations Manager with documentation related to operational control and information updates (PETS, STANDARDS, etc.) * Attend and participate in daily and/or scheduled meetings organized by Operations and Safety departments to coordinate operational requirements and report activities carried out during each shift and day. * Coordinate with Shift Supervisors to allocate personnel according to prior agreements and priorities established during morning meetings and pending tasks. * Monitor the assignment and proper use of company assets, tools, consumables, and PPE for personnel under supervision. * Decision-making; ability to clearly distinguish between what is important versus secondary, urgent versus deferrable, and essential versus desirable. * Supervise underground mining activities under direct responsibility to ensure achievement of planned tonnage and grade targets. * Supervise exploitation and production processes to reduce dilution percentage within the assigned area. * Jointly plan with the immediate supervisor the monthly Production Program and operational progress reports. * Ensure adherence to the Daily Production Program and/or Progress Reports, and correct implementation of the prescribed methodology during operations. * Other duties inherent to the position.
