Responsible for identifying and analyzing the company’s operational financial risks, and for mitigating them through the establishment of internal controls, aiming to minimize their financial impact and render them acceptable to the insurance market. **Candidate Requirements** ### **ACCIONA, within its Construction Business Line, requires the recruitment of an SSOMA MANAGER to participate in a tender process focused on the Land-Side Construction of an airport located in the Southern Andes.** ### **REQUIREMENTS** ### **Academic Qualifications:** * ### **University graduate holding a degree in Engineering (general).** * ### **Postgraduate diploma or master’s degree related to occupational risk prevention.** * ### **Professional Registration and Licensing: Actively registered and licensed with the corresponding College of Engineers of Peru.** * ### **Language:** **Fluent English or Spanish (for candidates whose native language is neither Spanish nor English, valid language proficiency documentation must be provided to demonstrate communication capability. Acceptable documentation includes: an advanced-level Spanish or English language certificate issued by a recognized language center).** ### **Experience:** * ### **Minimum 7 years of general professional experience since graduation or issuance of the corresponding diploma.** * ### **At least 3 years of experience in construction projects, in roles such as Leader and/or SSOMA Manager and/or Specialist and/or Engineer and/or SSOMA and/or Occupational Safety and Health and/or Occupational Safety and Health at Work and/or similar positions.** ### **Location:** * ### **Willingness to reside and work in the city of Cusco for the duration of the project.** ### **MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES** * ### **Plan, implement, and supervise the project’s SSOMA Plan, ensuring compliance by supervisors, foremen, direct workers, and contractors.** * ### **Approve and verify correct implementation of Safe Work Procedures (SWPs), procedures, standards, and operational controls for safety, occupational health, and environmental management.** * ### **Schedule and supervise SSOMA inspections across various work fronts, ensuring timely implementation of corrective actions.** * ### **Supervise use, maintenance, and availability of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required for each activity, halting work immediately in case of critical non-compliance.** * ### **Manage and control high-risk work permits, verifying fulfillment of prerequisite conditions, signatures, controls, and required authorizations.** * ### **Coordinate and supervise daily safety talks, inductions, and training sessions on safety, occupational health, and environmental management.** * ### **Supervise the project’s operational environmental compliance, including waste management, impact control, and implementation of environmental measures.** * ### **Investigate incidents, accidents, unsafe acts, and unsafe conditions; prepare reports, indicators, and preventive or corrective actions.** ACCIONA has received the Top Employer 2024 and 2025 certification.
