We are seeking an SSOMA Engineer to ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations for Plant Shutdown projects, advising on safe practices and incident investigations.

At CORMEI CONTRATISTAS GENERALES SAC., we are seeking an SSOMA Engineer to perform the following functions for Plant Shutdown works.
1\. Verify that the assigned area complies with regulations, procedures, instructions, specifications, and other requirements related to Safety, Occupational Health, and Environment.
2\. Advise supervisors and operational staff on safe and environmentally appropriate operational practices to maintain the standards established by the SSOMA department.
3\. Advise on investigations of accidents and incidents with high potential for harm to implement corresponding preventive and corrective measures.
4\. Advise on the development of Risk Analyses and preparation of ATS (Safe Work Procedures) for the operational department.
5\. Halt any ongoing work in imminent danger and/or unsafe conditions to prevent harm to employee integrity.
6\. Assist site personnel in implementing control measures established in the Environmental Impact and Risk Assessment, dedicated exclusively to this task.
7\. Comply with other directives issued by management, consistent with the nature of the position.
What is the required profile?
* Graduate, registered, and licensed in Mining Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Metallurgical Engineering **(Mandatory).**
* Accredited training in: Hazard/Environmental Aspect Identification; Risk/Environmental Impact Assessment; Accident Investigation; Supervision and Inspection of Work Areas; Safety Management System.
* Minimum five (5) years of experience in related positions.
* Prior experience in metallurgical-mechanical or related projects.
* Previous experience working at Nexa’s Cajamarquilla Refinery is desirable.
