**Job Objective:**
Provide support in executing and monitoring compliance with the system, policies, objectives, programs, standards, and procedures related to environmental and HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) management at facilities where Metso Perú S.A. operates. Support the identification and control of environmental risks, as well as continuous improvement of the management system’s performance, ensuring activities are carried out in accordance with the organization’s established quality, safety, occupational health, and environmental guidelines.
**Key Responsibilities:**
Provide support in executing and monitoring the objectives, programs, standards, and procedures established under Metso Perú S.A.’s HSE policy.
Assist in the implementation and maintenance of the HSE management system.
Collaborate in disseminating relevant environmental information to operational personnel.
Support the organization and delivery of internal environmental training.
Participate in the development and review of environmental documents required for fieldwork planning and control.
Conduct and prepare reports on environmental inspections.
Support the development of action plans and tracking of corrective and preventive actions arising from environmental inspection findings.
Identify and report substandard acts and conditions to contribute to the prevention of environmental incidents.
Monitor compliance with Metso’s environmental guidelines across all contractors and suppliers in the field.
Responsible for environmental monitoring of water, air, noise, soil, and emissions matrices.
Know and apply the HSEQ management system guidelines and promote their compliance among personnel.
Report any incident, accident, or risk condition that may affect people’s health, equipment, or the environment.
Halt, after notifying the responsible person, any activity posing a significant risk to safety or the environment, in alignment with the company’s prevention culture.
Comply with obligations established in applicable internal regulations and current legal requirements related to safety, occupational health, and the environment.
Participate in scheduled trainings and support personnel awareness of their HSEQ responsibilities.
Perform other duties assigned by the direct supervisor, related to the scope of one’s education and responsibilities.
**To succeed, you must meet the following requirements:**
**Mandatory:** University-level studies, professional degree, and professional registration in Safety Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Forestry Engineering, or related fields (mandatory).
**Desirable:** Courses or training in Industrial Safety, Environment, HSE Management, Quality, or Integrated Management Systems.
**Experience:** More than 3 years in similar roles in mining projects; field experience in Environmental Management, Environmental Risks, or Safety will be valued.
**Desirable Knowledge:**
Knowledge of Safety, Occupational Health, Environment, Quality, and/or Integrated Management Systems.
**Proficiency in Environmental Regulations:** Law No. 28611, Law No. 27446, Law No. 29338, Law No. 1278, Law No. 29763, Regulation on Environmental Quality Standards (ECA) and Maximum Permissible Limits (LMP), Law No. 30754,
ISO 45001 Standard, ISO 14001 Standard, ISO 9001 Standard.
Identification of environmental aspects and impacts (IVVAS), Incident investigation, Inspections, Hazardous chemicals (MATPEL), High-risk work, Lockout, Personal protective equipment (PPE), Emergency response.
Other HSE standards.
Knowledge of monitoring physical, chemical, and ergonomic agents.
