Job Summary: Performs welding for filling, drilling and perforation, blueprint reading, cutting and polishing, and measurement of mechanical parts and structures. Key Highlights: 1. Welding application for part repair 2. Operation of drilling machines and cutting tools 3. Interpretation of blueprints and use of precision instruments * Main Responsibilities * **Part Filling:** Applies welding to fill cavities, cracks, or worn areas on mechanical parts and structures. * **Drilling and Perforation:** Uses drilling machines (industrial drills) to re-drill or enlarge cylindrical holes to exact dimensions. * **Blueprint Reading:** Interprets technical diagrams and blueprints to understand the exact shape and dimensions required for a part. * **Cutting and Polishing:** Cuts and grinds metals using oxy-cutting equipment, grinders, or polishers. * **Measurement:** Uses precision instruments (e.g., calipers) to verify that parts meet correct dimensions before and after welding.
