Heavy Machinery Operator Responsibilities: \- Participate in the 5S (Sort and Clean) procedure within the Scrap Yard and halt work immediately if conditions change (e.g., adverse weather, substandard tools, etc.). \- Maintain machinery in optimal operating condition by performing appropriate minor maintenance tasks to ensure functionality, cleanliness, and proper usage. Immediately report any defects or malfunctions of the assigned machine to the HSE Operations Manager/Operations Supervisor. \- Notify and request required supplies from the Logistics Department at least five days in advance of the approaching hourmeter reading (every 250 hours) to carry out preventive maintenance on the grapple equipment. \- Ensure all personnel are outside the designated work zone boundary before starting equipment operation. \- Cut metallic and non-metallic waste materials following the established procedure steps for this task. \- Comply with established protocols in case of incidents and/or accidents. \- Operate the excavator and shear equipment strictly according to the manufacturer’s manual instructions. \- Drive vehicles in accordance with MTC driving permits and Antamina CIA requirements. \- Participate in training activities relevant to your area and apply acquired knowledge to procedures as directed by the Safety Engineer and Operations Supervisor. \- Follow daily instructions issued by your immediate supervisor. \- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to foster a harmonious workplace environment for employee well-being and company success. \- Comply with and enforce Integrated Management System standards, policies, and procedures. \- Perform other duties assigned by your immediate supervisor that are inherent to this position. Requirements: \- Minimum three years’ experience operating heavy machinery. \- Availability to work in Huaraz. \- Valid AIIIC or AIIIB driver’s license. \- Availability to work under the mining work regime (20 days on / 10 days off). \- Technical education.
