Job Summary: We are seeking a professional to lead logistics and international trade operations, managing international procurement, imports, and inventory control in gastronomic engineering. Key Responsibilities: 1. Manages international procurement and negotiations with OEM suppliers. 2. Coordinates the entire international logistics and customs clearance process. 3. RESPONSIBILITIES: **International Procurement from Suppliers** * Manages procurement processes from OEM suppliers in China, Turkey, and other countries, including price negotiation, production lead times, and payment terms. * Issues and tracks purchase orders (POs), validating technical specifications against product data sheets from Kitchen Master, Baker Master, and Coffee Master. * Requests and verifies in writing the production start date and delivery commitment before confirming each order, avoiding undeclared production timelines. * Evaluates and qualifies new and existing suppliers based on certifications (CE, ISO), manufacturing capacity, and commercial references. * Coordinates factory audit visits when required to validate processes, materials, or physical samples prior to bulk purchases. * Maintains an updated record of negotiated commercial terms per supplier (FOB prices, MOQs, production timelines, payment terms). **Importation and International Trade** * Coordinates international logistics: vessel space booking, cargo consolidation, Incoterms, and freight forwarder selection. * Manages import documentation: commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading (B/L), certificates of origin, and other documents required by SUNAT/Customs. * Coordinates with customs brokers for goods nationalization, reviewing tariff classification, tax assessment, and release timelines. * Tracks the international transit of each shipment (shipping line, port of origin, ETA) and anticipates contingencies affecting delivery timelines. * Verifies compliance with technical standards and certifications required for gas-powered and electrical equipment entering the Peruvian market (NTP/Osinergmin, where applicable). * Controls import costing (freight, insurance, tariffs, port charges) and consolidates final cost per imported unit. **Storage and Inventory Control** * Plans receipt, storage, and physical control of imported equipment at Masterbrands / Mepol Store warehouses. * Defines and maintains an updated inventory coding system (SKU) by product line, model, and supplier. * Conducts cycle counts and periodic inventories, ensuring accuracy between physical stock and system stock. * Supervises appropriate storage conditions for stainless-steel equipment, electronic components, and refrigeration units. * Coordinates dispatch of goods to regional distributors (North, South, Central) and direct customers, ensuring traceability by serial number. * Optimizes warehouse space usage and proposes improvements in layout, load handling, and safety. **Support Functions:** * Prepares periodic reports on procurement, imports, and inventory for General Management. * Tracks disputes or incidents with suppliers (missed deadlines, quality issues, documentary discrepancies) and proposes action plans. * Supports technical evaluation of new OEM suppliers for portfolio expansion (e.g., laundry lines, ovens, refrigeration). * Coordinates with the commercial department on stock availability for high-value projects (mining, institutional HORECA). * Participates in planning sourcing trips to trade fairs and factories (China, Turkey) together with General Management. * Ensures compliance with confidentiality and non-compete agreements with strategic suppliers.
