Position Summary: We are seeking a Metallurgical Engineering Intern to support the Operations department by designing, optimizing, and supervising component manufacturing processes. Key Highlights: 1. Active support in metallurgical operations and processes. 2. Design, review, and optimization of component manufacturing processes. 3. An industrial plant with over 40 years of experience in the manufacturing industry seeks a Metallurgical Engineering Intern with/without experience to actively contribute to supporting the OPERATIONS department at the plant. **REQUIREMENTS:** \- Final-year student or recent graduate in Metallurgical Engineering (mandatory; candidates from other disciplines please refrain from applying) \- Proficiency in tools such as AutoCAD, applied to casting component design. \- Excellent oral and written communication skills. \- Interest in casting and molding processes. \- Intermediate-level proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint (mandatory). \- Knowledge and application of current quality, safety, and environmental standards. \- Proficiency in gating system design, process management, and metrology. \- Residency in areas near Puente Piedra (Km 36.5 of the Panamericana Norte Highway – Fundición Bus Stop). **RESPONSIBILITIES:** \- Support and supervision of production processes. \- Design, review, and optimization of component manufacturing processes. \- Preparation of technical sheets for castings and processes. \- Laboratory testing of raw materials and castings. \- Gating system design for components. \- Tracking of work orders. \- Redesigning components if defects arise. \- Coordination with PCP (Production Control and Planning) to develop the work plan and ensure its distribution and execution at the plant. \- Providing support to production departments. \- Proposing internal process improvements for component manufacturing. \- Other related duties. **COMPETENCIES:** \- Personnel management skills. \- Leadership and analytical capabilities. \- Decision-making ability. \- Proactive attitude and teamwork orientation. \- Negotiation skills.
