Negotiate commercial terms and coordinate logistics A leading company in the trade and distribution of graphic and textile supplies is looking to incorporate a PROCUREMENT AND IMPORT ASSISTANT into its team: Job Objective: Efficiently execute operational processes related to procurement and import management, ensuring timely supply, compliance with Peruvian customs regulations, and correct execution of procedures within the ERP system, thereby contributing to achieving supply objectives, inventory turnover targets, and cost optimization. Main Responsibilities: • Issue and record Purchase Orders (POs) in the ERP system, ensuring they have the required approvals. • Request and compare proformas from domestic and international suppliers. • Maintain ongoing contact with suppliers, managing deliveries, quotations, basic negotiations, and order tracking. • Understand and apply current Peruvian customs regulations, as well as documentary requirements for goods nationalization. • Perform landed cost calculations for imported products in the ERP system, including freight, insurance, tariffs, and other associated expenses. • Handle supplier claims regarding delivery errors, quality issues, or quantity discrepancies, following up until resolution. • Negotiate basic commercial terms with suppliers to improve delivery timelines, pricing, or delivery terms. • Coordinate with customs brokers, logistics operators, and warehouse teams to ensure proper flow of information and goods. • Archive and control commercial and customs documentation for each transaction. • Support audits, reviews, and preparation of reports requested by management. Job Requirements: Academic Qualifications: - Technical or university degree in International Business, Administration, or related fields. Work Experience: - Minimum 2 years of experience in similar roles within importing companies or organizations with high volumes of international procurement. Technical Knowledge: - Solid knowledge of Peruvian customs regulations and import documentation. - Proficiency in landed cost calculation for imports. - Intermediate English proficiency (reading documents, writing emails). - Excel (intermediate to advanced level) - Specific knowledge: Incoterms, customs regulations, import processes, ERP systems, Microsoft Office.
