On-site leadership for compliance with safety protocols Job Description: An **Occupational Health and Safety Officer** is required for **Information Technology (IT) infrastructure projects**, responsible for ensuring compliance with occupational safety and health standards during field activities. The officer will coordinate with clients and technical teams to establish safe working conditions, develop work plans, and manage all necessary preventive documentation. **Requirements:** * **Academic Qualifications:** * University graduate in Industrial Engineering, Safety Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Industrial Hygiene and Safety, or related fields. * Specialization, certification, or diploma in **Occupational Health and Safety (OHS)**. * **Work Experience:** * Minimum **2 years of experience** as an Occupational Health and Safety Officer or OHS Supervisor in technological infrastructure, telecommunications, electrical installations, or related projects. * Experience in **direct coordination with clients** and in **planning safe field activities**. * Knowledge and application of national safety regulations (OHS laws), technical standards, and safe work protocols. * **Other Requirements:** * Proficiency in office tools (Word, Excel, PDF) for report writing and document management. * Ability to travel to various work sites as required by the project. * Strong communication skills, both with technical staff and clients, are essential. **Key Competencies:** * On-site leadership and firmness in enforcing safety protocols. * Work planning and organization. * Clear and assertive communication. * Responsibility and sound judgment in operational decision-making. * Ability to manage technical and safety documentation. **Main Responsibilities:** * **Coordinate with clients and technical teams** regarding field activities, ensuring they are carried out under safe and controlled conditions. * **Develop the risk prevention work plan** based on the project scope, considering schedule, resources, identified risks, and control measures. * Conduct safety inductions for personnel involved in the project. * Verify implementation of personal protective equipment (PPE), signage, tools, and appropriate working conditions. * Manage and maintain up-to-date **safety documentation**, including IPERC, ATS, work permits, inspection reports, among others. * Supervise field work execution, correct deviations, and report incidents or unsafe conditions. * Participate in operational and safety meetings with clients and other stakeholders. * Promote a culture of prevention and continuous improvement throughout project execution.
