Ongoing training **We are looking for a Kitchen Assistant!** **Restaurant El Salto de Fraile** is seeking a committed, responsible, and eager-to-learn **Kitchen Assistant** to join our culinary team. **Main Responsibilities** * Assist in food preparation according to the Chef's and Cook's instructions. * Perform mise en place (washing, peeling, chopping, and portioning of ingredients). * Prepare side dishes, sauces, and other basic items following established procedures. * Maintain order and cleanliness in work areas, equipment, and utensils. * Properly wash, disinfect, and store kitchen utensils and tools. * Verify ingredient quality and freshness before use. * Support receiving, storage, and stock rotation following the FIFO system. * Collaborate in controlling waste and ensuring efficient ingredient usage. * Comply with Good Food Handling Practices (GHP), hygiene, and safety standards. * Assist in general cleaning and closing of the kitchen area. **Position Profile** * Minimum of **6 months** experience as a Kitchen Assistant or in similar roles (preferred). * Desire to learn and develop within the culinary industry. * Ability to work under pressure and as part of a team. * Responsible, organized, proactive, and punctual individual. * Commitment to cleanliness, order, and service quality. * Availability to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays. **Requirements** * Completed secondary education. * Technical studies in Gastronomy (preferred but not mandatory). * Basic knowledge of food handling and hygiene. * Good physical condition to perform operational tasks. * Personal mobility (motorcycle, bicycle, scooter). **We Offer** * Formal employment registration under applicable labor regulations. * Market-competitive remuneration. * Meals provided during working hours. * Ongoing training. * Excellent work environment. * Opportunities for learning and career growth within the organization.
