**Ferrous Casting**, a metal-mechanical company specializing in casting, seeks to incorporate a **Cost Analyst** into its **Accounting and Finance** team, with analytical capability, attention to detail, and results orientation.
The position’s objective is to support the management and control of operational costs, ensuring that system-recorded information accurately reflects consumptions, manufacturing costs, and inventories across different stages of the production process: **casting, melting, molding, and finishing**.
REQUIREMENTS
* Bachelor's degree or graduate in Accounting, Industrial Engineering, or related fields.
* 2–3 years of experience in industrial or manufacturing cost analysis.
* Experience in metal-mechanical, foundry, or related industries.
* Intermediate-to-advanced Excel skills (pivot tables and formulas).
* Knowledge of process costing and production order costing.
* Experience in inventory valuation and control.
* ERP or cost system proficiency; experience with Spring, SAP, or similar systems is desirable.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Review and validate the correct allocation of material, labor, and manufacturing overhead (MOH) costs at each stage of the production process.
* Reconcile actual raw material consumption—including scrap, ferrous alloys, sands, and resins—with system-recorded data.
* Identify, analyze, and report discrepancies or variances between actual production and recorded costs.
* Maintain and control stock cards (kardex) in units and ensure their proper valuation, covering raw materials, work-in-process, and finished goods.
* Participate in monthly cost closing and inventory valuation, ensuring data consistency.
* Participate in defining and updating standard cost structures, implementing appropriate adjustments to reflect actual costs.
* Prepare production cost, inventory, profitability, and variance analysis reports and deliver them to the Head of Accounting and Finance.
**DESIRABLE KNOWLEDGE**
* Understanding of casting processes: melting, molding, and finishing.
* Familiarity with IFRS as applied to costs and inventories.
* Knowledge of tax regulations applicable to costs and inventories.
* Proficiency with AI tools (Claude, Gemini, etc.).
