Implementation of data security and quality mechanisms **Expande Talento** is currently searching for a **Mid-Level Data Engineer** for our client, a technology and financial services company. We seek a professional with comprehensive experience in **database administration (DBA), data architecture and modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and Business Intelligence**, capable of managing end-to-end data solutions and transforming technical information into practical tools for decision-making. WHAT WILL YOU DO? * Administer and optimize production databases, including **backups, query tuning, T\-SQL, and performance monitoring**. * Design and develop analytical data architecture, including **dimensional modeling, Data Marts, and Data Warehouse**. * Build and maintain automated data integration pipelines (**ETL/ELT**) between the transactional platform and the analytical environment. * Implement and automate business dashboards and KPIs using **Business Intelligence** tools, primarily Power BI. * Ensure integrity, consistency, and quality of data migrated from the transactional platform to the analytical environment. * Implement **data encryption, sensitive data masking, and access control (RBAC)** mechanisms. * Manage **backup, recovery, and periodic restoration testing** strategy. * Coordinate with **Cloud Architecture and SRE** teams on aspects related to continuity, availability, and database operations. * Gather information requirements from departments such as **Operations, AML, and Treasury**, translating business needs into actionable reports, KPIs, and dashboards. * Document processes, data models, integration flows, and implemented solutions. * Contribute to defining and applying **data governance and data quality** standards. REQUIREMENTS * Professional with a **degree, bachelor's, or master's qualification** in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields. * **Minimum 3 years of experience** combining Database Administration (DBA) and Business Intelligence (BI) responsibilities. * Experience administering **SQL Server and/or Azure SQL**. * Advanced **T\-SQL proficiency**, including queries, stored procedures, and performance optimization. * Knowledge of other relational and/or NoSQL engines, such as **PostgreSQL**. * Experience in **relational and dimensional data modeling**. * Experience with ETL/ELT tools such as **Python, Talend, Azure Data Factory, or equivalents**. * Experience developing dashboards and KPIs using **Power BI, Looker Studio, Tableau, or similar tools**. * Knowledge of **data security, encryption, masking, and access control**. * Knowledge of **backup, recovery, continuity, and Disaster Recovery (DR)**. * Familiarity with **Azure Cloud**, especially Azure SQL Managed Instance, Storage, and Data Factory. * Scripting skills in **Python and/or PowerShell**. * Understanding of standards or controls related to **ISO 27001 and/or PCI\-DSS**. * Knowledge of **data governance and data quality**. * Experience using **Jira, Confluence, and Agile methodologies**. * **Intermediate English**, primarily for reading technical documentation. ADDITIONAL ASSETS * Familiarity with **fintech** environments and/or regulated entities. * Knowledge of processes and data related to **AML/KYC**. * **Power BI** and/or **Microsoft DP\-300** certification. * Experience with **Azure Synapse Analytics** or cloud-based analytical storage solutions. * Knowledge of **Kubernetes and containers**. * Experience with automation and **AI-powered tools for data analysis**. * Best practices in visualization and **data storytelling**. * Basic knowledge of **Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)**. * Experience with real-time data architectures and **streaming**. * Understanding of **financial KPIs, AML, Treasury, and/or Commercial** metrics. * Proficiency in **Git and version control for data models**.
