Your journey toward impact and innovation begins here at WSP! **Key Responsibilities:** * Conduct geotechnical inspections to assess soil and rock conditions. * Supervise slope, excavation, and geotechnical structure stability. * Verify proper execution of activities such as backfilling, compaction, drainage, and retaining works. * Ensure compliance with project technical specifications, standards, and drawings. * Supervise and validate field and laboratory tests (density, moisture content, strength, permeability, etc.). * Control quality of materials, soils, rocks, and geosynthetics used in construction. * Plan and supervise exploration campaigns (drilling, test pits, in-situ testing). * Coordinate geotechnical laboratory testing programs. * Validate quality and reliability of collected data. * Interpret results from testing, instrumentation, and geotechnical monitoring. * Evaluate ground behavior under design and construction conditions. * Identify deviations and propose corrective actions. * Identify and assess risks related to stability, settlement, seepage, or geotechnical failure. * Propose and implement mitigation and control measures. * Participate in structural safety and reliability analyses. * Review and validate geotechnical reports and designs prepared by third parties. Ensure compatibility among design, actual site conditions, and construction. Propose technical optimizations where appropriate. * Supervise implementation of engineering solutions (retaining walls, anchors, drainage, stabilization, etc.). * Verify that solutions are executed in accordance with design and quality standards. * Supervise installation and reading of geotechnical instrumentation (piezometers, inclinometers, load cells, etc.). * Evaluate trends and issue timely alerts for anomalous behavior. * Prepare technical reports, inspection reports, and progress tracking reports. * Record and manage observations, deviations, and non-conformities. * Ensure traceability of project technical information. * Coordinate with construction, quality, laboratory, and design teams. * Participate in technical and progress meetings. * Resolve technical interferences across disciplines. * Ensure compliance with technical, contractual, and regulatory requirements. * Identify opportunities for improvement in geotechnical processes. * Manage lessons learned and optimization of construction methodologies. * Ensure correct implementation of the Quality Assurance Plan (CQA) across all geotechnical project activities. * Verify compliance with procedures, standards, technical specifications, and applicable regulations. * Monitor and track Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), Observations, and Surveillance Reports (SVRs), ensuring their effective closure. * Validate traceability of materials, tests, and quality records. * Coordinate with the CQC department and laboratory to ensure reliability of results and records. * Promote continuous improvement through audits, lessons learned, and process optimization. * Comply with internal policies and procedures of the Integrated Management System for Quality, Environment, and Occupational Health and Safety in assigned activities, among others. **Professional Background:** * Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Geological Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or related fields. * Minimum 6 years of experience in similar CQA roles overseeing and/or constructing mining projects (concrete, soils and/or earthworks, mechanical, electrical, and electromechanical works). * Experience in mining sector projects is desirable. * Intermediate-level proficiency in AutoCAD is desirable. * Residence in southern Peru is desirable. * A valid driver’s license is desirable. \#Perú \#LI\-GV1 \#LI\-Onsite **Primary Location** PE\-Lima**Schedule** Full\-time**Employee Status** Temporary**Experience (Minimum Yrs.)** 6**Job Posting** Aug 11, 2026, 5:07:53 PM
