Wood is seeking a Mechanical Designer with BIM design experience for mining projects to join the Engineering team of a major ongoing project, supporting its Minerals \& Metals business unit. This opportunity is available for Peru.
**The Role**
The Senior Piping Designer for Mining Projects is responsible for developing piping system designs for the mining industry, preferably using BIM methodology, as part of the mechanical and piping discipline team, which in turn integrates into the overall project.

+ Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Technical Drafting.
+ Minimum 10 years’ experience in engineering project development related to mining, with consulting firms and/or mining companies.
+ Mature professional judgment in designing practical and cost-effective solutions.
+ Ability to solve problems requiring application of research data from one’s own discipline and related disciplines.
+ **Proficient use of SmartPlant and/or Aveva E3D (at least piping module, BIM modeling, and drawing extraction) and AutoCAD. Mandatory requirement** .
+ Medical fitness for field work at high geographical altitude.
+ Possible field visits.
+ No relocation assistance provided.
