Job Summary: We are seeking a Cutting Technician with experience in oxy-fuel cutting to perform cutting tasks, inspect equipment, and ensure safety in the work area, contributing to a harmonious working environment. Cutting Technician Responsibilities: \- Request required supplies for the next shift at least five days in advance from the logistics department, using the approved format signed by the supervisor, for cutting (oxy-fuel, plasma, thermal lance, diamond wire). \- Inspect cutting equipment (oxy-fuel, plasma, thermal lance, diamond wire) and tools to ensure they are in good condition; if replacement is needed, submit the approved format signed by the supervisor to logistics. \- Ensure all personnel are outside the designated work zone boundary before enabling metal and non-metal waste removal using cutting equipment. \- Perform fire watch duties (when required), including: \- Remain vigilant in the area to verify that conditions under which the permit was issued remain unchanged and observe whether fire results from the work. \- Have a fire extinguisher on hand, to be used immediately in case of incipient fire. \- Verify that equipment complies with safety requirements per company regulations, standards, and manufacturer’s manual. \- Participate in training activities assigned to your area and apply the acquired knowledge to procedures requested by the Safety Engineer and Operations Supervisor. \- Follow daily instructions from the immediate supervisor. \- Lead continuous improvement efforts toward a harmonious working environment for employee well-being and company alignment. \- Comply with and enforce rules, policies, and procedures of the Integrated Management System. \- Perform other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor inherent to the position. Requirements: \- Minimum two years’ experience operating oxy-fuel cutting equipment. \- Availability to work in Huaraz. \- Availability to work under the mining work regime (14 days on / 7 days off). \- Ability to work at an altitude of 4,500 meters above sea level. \- Technical education.
