




Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced Welding Inspector to ensure the quality of welded structures by verifying compliance with standards and technical specifications. Key Responsibilities: 1. Inspect welds before, during, and after the welding process 2. Evaluate and propose improvements to the manufacturing inspection chain 3. Provide technical support in welding and basic metallurgy At ZGROUP, we are seeking top talent to join us as a WELDING INSPECTOR. Requirements: * University degrees in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related technical fields such as Metallic Structures Construction, Universal Welding, Maintenance of Metallic Structures, Metallurgy and Heat Treatment, Metal-Mechanical Manufacturing, Quality Inspection and Control, Materials Technology, Industrial Welding Processes, or Technological Welding Processes. * Welding certification by process: SMAW, GMAW, GTAW, FCAW, SAW * Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications * Solid knowledge of welding processes and metallurgy * Familiarity with welding procedures (WPS/PQR) * Knowledge of international and national standards (ASTM, ASME, ISO, AWS, API, etc.) * Diploma in Welding Inspection * Minimum 2 years of certified experience in inspections of welded structures and similar roles. * Knowledge of standards for construction of welded structures and painting. * Availability to work in Callao \- Oquendo. Responsibilities: * Conduct visual inspections of welds before, during, and after the welding process, verifying compliance with drawings, technical specifications, and applicable standards. * Verify quality standards within the preparation, assembly, and welding processes of equipment, components, and spare parts manufactured according to established standards and guidelines. * Evaluate and propose improvements to processes in the manufacturing inspection chain (cutting, assembly, welding, blasting, and painting). * Provide technical support and advisory services on welding and basic metallurgy. * Verify proper storage and traceability of welding materials and consumables. * Other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor. * Evaluate weld discontinuities and defects, determining their acceptance or rejection according to technical standard criteria.
