Each day, you will complete assignments on small projects or specific parts of larger projects, ensuring efficient and cost-effective execution. You will also demonstrate your expertise by applying Design Thinking and Design for Excellence concepts to assigned projects. Work Model for this Position: Hybrid This position contributes to the Automation Business Area in Lima, Peru. You will be primarily responsible for: * Evaluating, selecting, and applying standard techniques and procedures to perform engineering tasks. * Development and implementation of digitalization applications in mineral processing plants in mining. * Assisting in the preparation of engineering project proposals and presentations. * Using checklists to execute design verification in accordance with applicable standards and engineering guidelines. Requirements for the Position * You hold a degree in Computer Engineering, Data Science, Electronics, Mechatronics, or related fields. * You have 4–5 years of experience in similar roles. * You actively possess advanced knowledge of database integration, open-source application development, graphical user interfaces, and dashboards. * Experience and knowledge in MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems), PINS, and ERP interface development will be highly valued. * Knowledge of Industry 4.0, Big Data, and Cloud-based applications is desirable. * You are available to travel as required (up to 20% of the time). * You have intermediate-to-advanced English proficiency (mandatory), enabling fluent communication in technical and multidisciplinary environments. **At ABB, we are committed to addressing global challenges.
