Application of Lean methodologies and improvement of construction productivity **Date:** 15 Apr 2026 **Location:** 14 \- LIMA, PE **Company:** Buenaventura At Buenaventura, we are seeking a **Construction Manager (Electromechanical)** **– Mining Unit:** **Key Responsibilities:** * Remove constraints hindering progress of electromechanical projects, such as “LT\-electric transmission lines”, “SE \- substations”, “electromechanical systems, pumping systems, ventilation systems, etc.” (plants, crushing, grinding, flotation, backfilling, etc.). * Lead construction contractors for projects to be executed at the Mining Unit. * Validate project constructability (RPs: 30R\-03\). * Validate the construction production system (RPs: 48R\-06\). * Assist in defining the “Procurement Strategy” (delivery method), and “strategy for purchasing major equipment, structural steel, and critical components”. * Plan and replan, in coordination with construction contractors and support areas (primarily Safety and Environment), assigned projects. * Consolidate construction contractor requirements and coordinate with the development of engineering, procurement, contracting, and commissioning plans. * Verify and size interferences associated with assigned construction packages; as well as “tie-ins” related to project delivery. * Validate and approve construction progress reports from contractors and ensure submission to the Project Control area. * Validate and approve final construction deliverables from contractors and ensure submission to the Document Control area. * Ensure compliance with Peruvian legal regulations and Buenaventura’s policies and standards during construction. * Report contractual deviations by contractors to the Contract Administrator and provide support regarding claims (RPs: 25R\-03, 45R\-08, 120R\-21, 130R\-23\). * Analyze project control, quality control, and contract management reports; identify deviations from the plan; and coordinate with contractors on corrective actions to be implemented (RPs: 86R\-14\). * Manage “Construction Productivity”; establish activity trains and release constraints from the 6WLA. * Implement “Lean Construction” approach and Last Planner System. * Understanding of CPM and schedule review. **Professional Profile:** * Licensed professional in Mechanical, Mechanical\-Electrical, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or related fields. (Professional association membership is valued, e.g.: SME, AACEi, PMI, SAVE, LCI, PPI, etc.) * Capability to obtain certifications from AACEi, PMI, or LCI; prior possession of such certifications is highly valued (PMI\-CP, AACE\-PSP, AACE\-EVP, LCI\-CPC, LCI\-CPD) * Minimum 10 years of experience, including at least 3 years in a “Project Control” role. * 3 years of experience in similar managerial positions. * Intermediate-level proficiency with scheduling tools (MS Project, Primavera, OPC\-Task). ***IMPORTANT!*** ***Buenaventura does not request any type of payment to participate in its selection processes.
