




Position Summary: We are seeking a Customs Technical Manager to lead the technical and operational management of customs clearance, ensuring regulatory compliance and adherence to quality, compliance, and internal control standards. We are seeking a Customs Technical Manager to lead the technical and operational management of the customs clearance process, ensuring compliance with current customs regulations and the organization’s quality, compliance, and internal control standards. The position will be responsible for supervising the accurate preparation, validation, and submission of customs declarations (DAM), managing dispatch regularization, coordinating with SUNAT, and leading the technical team composed of reviewers and liquidators, thereby guaranteeing efficient and secure service for our clients. Key Responsibilities Supervise the preparation, review, and submission of customs declarations in accordance with current legislation. Provide technical customs advisory services to clients and internal departments. Coordinate with SUNAT regarding dispatch processing, observations, physical inspections, and other requirements. Manage files related to corrections, refunds, and other customs procedures. Supervise and distribute workload among the team of reviewers and liquidators. Ensure timely regularization of declarations within established deadlines. Guarantee compliance with compliance policies, risk management, and internal control frameworks. Monitor management indicators (KPIs) and promote continuous process improvement. Train the team on updates to customs regulations. Requirements University or technical degree in International Trade, International Business, Law, Administration, or related fields. Possession of the Auxiliary Customs Agent or Customs Legal Representative certification is desirable. Minimum five years of experience in similar roles within customs agencies, including leadership of technical teams. Solid knowledge of customs legislation, tariff classification, customs regimes, and special operations. Proficiency in ASCINSA systems and Microsoft Office. Intermediate-level knowledge of SAP or SAP Business One, Power BI, and Excel is desirable. Intermediate English proficiency (desirable). Leadership and team development skills. Strategic thinking.
