Planning and supervision of drilling and geological logging programs. **Date:** 14 May 2026 **Location:** 06 \- CAJAMARCA, PE **Company:** Buenaventura At Buenaventura, we are currently seeking a **Junior Exploration Geologist – Mining Unit:** **Main Responsibilities:** * Supervise sampling and implement QA/QC controls on fine and coarse samples prepared in the Chemical Laboratory. * Conduct geological mapping of mining benches, recording information on alteration, lithology, mineralization, and structural features for subsequent interpretation and entry into Minesight and updating of the GDB (ARCGIS – PRO). * Manage the sample database (blastholes, stockpiles, channels, etc.) and maintain the Ore Control model up to date to generate mining polygons and define proper material destination. * Perform geological mapping of drill cuttings (blastholes), recording corresponding geological information into the ACQUIRE database, which will support polygon generation. * Plan and supervise sampling in areas scheduled for mining during the week to determine the average grade of ore/waste. * Reconcile monthly mined cuts against long-term, short-term, and Ore Control models. * Prepare and supervise diamond or reverse-circulation drilling programs; ensure adherence to the drilling schedule. * Supervise construction of access roads, pits, and platforms required for drilling program execution. * Perform geological logging of drill holes and enter data into the database, overseeing respective QA/QC. * Supervise geological sampling of diamond or reverse-circulation drill holes, as well as surface geochemical sampling. **Professional Profile:** * Graduate in Geological Engineering. * Minimum 2–3 years of experience in roles such as Junior Geologist. * Knowledge of geological software. ***IMPORTANT!*** ***Buenaventura does not request any payments of any kind to participate in its selection processes.
