Plan, coordinate, and control import operations, ensuring supply continuity, regulatory compliance, and cost optimization.

3. Propose improvements to logistical and administrative processes.

**Job Objective:**
Plan, coordinate, and control the company’s import operations, ensuring timely supply, regulatory compliance, optimization of logistical costs, and continuous process improvement in alignment with the organization’s business objectives.
**Responsibilities:**
* Manage import operations in accordance with the approved Import Plan.
* Conduct end-to-end shipment tracking from origin to warehouse delivery.
* Coordinate with suppliers, customs agents, freight carriers, and internal departments (logistics, procurement, warehouse, and finance).
* Monitor logistical costs (freight, insurance, customs agent fees, taxes, and local expenses).
* Manage import documentation and ensure compliance with current customs regulations.
* Prepare and submit import process management reports.
* Propose improvements to the department’s logistical and administrative processes.
* Monitor available stock in the Miami warehouse for import batch consolidation.
* Coordinate partial or full product imports according to the approved plan.
* Manage and control documentation required for cargo release (B/L or AWB, invoices, packing lists, certificates, etc.).
* Coordinate the customs clearance process with the Corporate Logistics Manager and Warehouse Manager.
* Perform pre-clearance verification validating quantity, code, brand, model, and country of origin.
* Generate purchase orders in the ERP system based on approved proforma invoices.
* Coordinate the transfer of duty-exempt goods (Iquitos – Lima) and corresponding tax payments.
* Monitor performance of logistics providers and customs agents.
* Prepare weekly reports on customs cargo status and pending payments.
* Prepare monthly import indicator reports.
* Propose and implement logistical process improvement projects.
* Ensure timely registration and payment of invoices and settlements.
* Perform other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor.
**Requirements:**
* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, International Business, or related fields.
* Minimum two years of experience in import operations or international trade.
* Diploma or specialization in Import Operations, International Trade, or Supply Chain Management.
* Knowledge of and experience with customs legislation and trade agreements.
* Knowledge of and experience in logistics and supply chain management.
* Knowledge of and experience in basic accounting applied to import operations.
* ERP system proficiency.
* Intermediate-level English proficiency.
* Proficiency in office software: Word, Excel, PowerPoint (intermediate level).
* Report and indicator development skills.
