Position Summary: We are seeking an Electrical and Lighting Technician to ensure reliable operation of the electrical infrastructure and enhance exhibitions at the Museum of Art of Lima. Key Responsibilities: 1. Maintain the museum's electrical infrastructure and lighting systems. 2. Participate in the electrical installation of temporary and permanent exhibitions. 3. Propose improvements for energy efficiency and safety at the museum. **Join MALI!** At the Museum of Art of Lima (MALI), we are looking for a candidate to fill the position of Electrical and Lighting Technician — a role that combines high technical expertise with commitment to quality and safety. Your work will be essential in ensuring the reliable operation of the museum’s electrical infrastructure, performing maintenance on critical systems and installations, and implementing lighting solutions that highlight each exhibition, enrich visitor experience, and contribute to the conservation of our artistic heritage. **Responsibilities** **Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on the museum’s electrical infrastructure.** * Diagnose and repair electrical panels, substations, motors, variable-speed drives, pumping systems, air conditioning units, generators, and other electrical equipment. * Install, modify, and adapt electrical installations according to operational requirements and exhibition project needs. * Install, wire, and configure technological equipment, sensors, and control systems. * Participate in the electrical installation of temporary and permanent exhibitions. * Implement and adjust lighting systems in exhibition halls, considering appropriate intensity, direction, color temperature, and illumination levels to highlight artworks and support their conservation. * Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on luminaires, electrified tracks, drivers, dimmers, and other components of museum lighting systems. * Provide technical support during the installation, deinstallation, and renovation of exhibitions, carrying out required electrical and lighting adjustments for each project. * Ensure proper operation of electrical systems during institutional events and activities. * Manage inventory of electrical equipment, tools, and materials. * Propose improvements focused on energy efficiency, safety, and quality of the museum’s infrastructure and lighting. **Requirements:** * Technical degree in Electricity, Industrial Electrotechnics, Electronics, or related fields. * Minimum two years of experience in electrical maintenance of infrastructure or industrial installations. * Knowledge of interpreting electrical schematics, electrical panels, substations, motors, variable-speed drives, automated systems, air conditioning, and generators. * Intermediate-level proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Cloud environment, and AutoCAD or similar software. * Experience in architectural, museum, commercial, stage, or cultural-space lighting — as well as in handling LED lighting systems, electrified tracks, dimmers, and light regulation controls — is desirable. * Basic knowledge of color temperature criteria, luminaire aiming, and illumination levels appropriate for artwork display and conservation is desirable. * Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety and use of personal protective equipment.
