Job Summary: We are seeking an Electrical Technician for substation maintenance, responsible for optimal execution of maintenance tasks, diagnostic analysis, and supervision of contractors. Supervision of maintenance work at substations **SUBSTATION MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN \- ICA** **REQUIREMENTS:** * Graduated as an Electrical Technician (not an Engineer) * Minimum 3 to 4 years of experience in this position or similar roles * Basic knowledge of MS Office, reading of electrical, functional, protection, control, telecommunications, IED installation, yard equipment, and inductive equipment drawings. RESPONSIBILITIES: * Proficiency in reading electrical, functional, protection, control, and telecommunications drawings. * Knowledge of the operation of various yard equipment, inductive equipment, measuring devices, protection, control, and telecommunications equipment. * Operation of diagnostic equipment, clamp meters, multimeters, megohmmeters, anemometers, hygrometers, earth resistance testers, distance meters, high-pressure washers, etc. * Analysis of results obtained using testing equipment. * Optimal execution of maintenance tasks at substations assigned by the regional coordinator (coordinator assistant). * Thorough familiarity with operation and maintenance manuals for various yard equipment and IEDs, as components of substations and high-voltage lines. * Efficient execution of preventive and/or corrective maintenance of substation equipment. * Maintenance is not merely cleaning installations and/or equipment; it involves verification and validation of proper operation, checking whether equipment is alarmed, questioning what occurred if abnormal conditions are detected, and applying methodologies to diagnose system failures. * Structural climbing on gantries, supporting structures for yard equipment and gantries. * Timely reporting to immediate supervisor regarding incidents at substations, equipment status, and alerting via diagnostic reports and root causes to schedule maintenance when such tasks exceed their capabilities. * Submission of daily inspection and maintenance reports for substations at the end of each workday before leaving the work area. * The employee must participate in emergency response activities within the transmission system and remain available during regular working hours. * Upon detection of a failure by operations, immediate response is required, including root cause analysis, proposal of possible solutions, required materials, estimated execution time, risk level, etc. * It is MANDATORY to be an active participant in scheduled or unscheduled maintenance activities within the transmission system, as needed. * Supervision of maintenance work performed by contractors or third-party service providers at power substations. * Strict use of personal protective equipment (PPE), both basic and role-specific, compliance with the “Golden Safety Rules”, and responsibility for completing safety management documentation prior to commencing work. * Non-compliance will be sanctioned according to CVC’s policies and statutes. * Respect among colleagues and superiors, in accordance with functional hierarchy. * Compliance with company policy, internal regulations, and the Internal Work Regulations. * Maintaining order and cleanliness in work areas before, during, and after tasks. * Responsibility for the use and custody of assigned assets. * The employee is obligated to report to their supervisor — within no more than 24 hours — any tampering, damage, modifications, or other circumstances affecting medium- or low-voltage energy metering systems encountered during the performance of duties. * Performance of any function or assignment delegated by the Area Manager and/or Immediate Supervisor, inherent to the position, as well as compliance with Norms, Directives, Resolutions, Procedures, Internal Work Regulations, Code of Ethics, Quality Management System, Occupational Health and Safety (Occupational Health and Safety Law, its Regulation, RISST, and National Electrical Code), Environment, and Social Responsibility, on a daily basis and under personal responsibility. * Use of a pickup truck for personnel transport and personal use, as required and/or directed by the immediate supervisor. * Other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor. * Participation in emergency response teams for night shifts and/or weekends. * Participation in the operations team when required, either as a temporary operator or to perform maneuvers requested by the shift operator. **BENEFITS:** * Competitive market-aligned remuneration. * Formal payroll enrollment under the General Regime from day one. * Food card. * Company-provided meals. * Statutory Life Insurance from the first day of employment. * Subsidized EPS (Health Insurance Provider), with the employee covering the minimum cost according to the selected plan. * Commuting transportation (round-trip). * Profit-sharing participation. * Professional growth and development opportunities based on performance. * Joining a continuously expanding company operating in a strategic sector for the global economy, with a positive impact on thousands of people’s lives.
