Job Summary: Newrest is seeking Kitchen Assistants to support pre-preparation and preparation of dishes, including preparing sauces, side dishes, and performing mise en place in a catering environment. Key Responsibilities: 1. Support pre-preparation and preparation of dishes 2. Prepare sauces, side dishes, and salads 3. Perform mise en place Newrest is a multinational company specializing in catering services, currently operating in over 49 countries and present in Peru for 13 years. We are currently seeking: KITCHEN ASSISTANTS – 14 days on / 7 days off schedule – Moquegua REQUIREMENTS: - Completed secondary education (certificate required). - Minimum 6 months of experience in this role or related positions (certificate required). - Graduate of Gastronomy, Culinary Arts, or related fields (Cook). - Minimum 6 months of experience working in mining or oilfield camps under rotational schedules. - Willingness to work in mining camps under a 14x7 schedule. - Preferably reside in Moquegua, Arequipa, Tacna, or Puno. RESPONSIBILITIES: - Assist the cook and/or head chef with pre-preparation and/or preparation of dishes. - Prepare sauces, side dishes, salads, and other items. - Perform mise en place. - Assist with assigned food preparation and plating tasks. - Support activities as directed by immediate supervisor.
