Summary: OpenLoop is hiring two QA Engineers II to join their engineering team, focusing on either product quality/end-to-end testing or data pipeline reliability/infrastructure quality. Highlights: 1. Own and maintain automated test suites for CI/CD pipelines 2. Partner closely with engineers to develop comprehensive testing strategies 3. Document test cases, strategies, and coverage metrics **About OpenLoop** ------------------ OpenLoop was co\-founded by CEO, Dr. Jon Lensing, and COO, Christian Williams, with the vision to bring care anywhere. Our telehealth support solutions are thoughtfully designed to streamline and simplify go\-to\-market care delivery for companies offering meaningful virtual support to patients across an expansive array of specialties, in all 50 states. **About the Role** We’re looking for two QA Engineers II to join our engineering team and support distinct projects across our product. One will focus on product quality and end\-to\-end testing for our web application; the other will focus on data pipeline reliability and infrastructure quality for our healthcare data systems. Both are mid\-level roles sharing the same seniority level, compensation band, and growth path — the difference is in the technical stack and team you’ll join. During the process, you’ll indicate your track of preference (Track A: Product \& E2E or Track B: Data \& Infrastructure) and we’ll align accordingly. **What You'll Do** ### **Shared across both tracks** * Own and maintain the automated test suite that runs in our CI/CD pipeline, including smoke tests, integration tests, and quality checks for your area. * Partner closely with engineers to understand architecture, identify critical paths, and develop comprehensive testing strategies prioritized by business impact. * Build and maintain testing frameworks that integrate seamlessly with GitHub Actions. * Document test cases, testing strategies, and coverage metrics to establish repeatable quality standards. * Identify testing gaps and systematically expand coverage toward end\-to\-end testing of critical workflows. ### **Track A — Product \& E2E focus** * Write and maintain complex Playwright tests across web applications, covering critical workflows, edge cases, and API integrations. * Monitor production environments, investigate quality issues, and execute targeted testing in production when needed. * Proactively identify quality risks early in development and collaborate on improving testability. * Mentor junior engineers on QA best practices. ### **Track B — Data \& Infrastructure focus** * Write and maintain automated tests for data pipelines using Python and TypeScript, covering batch and event\-driven workflows. * Implement data quality checks including row counts, schema validation, key\-column validation, idempotency testing, and duplicate handling across ETL processes. * Validate data quality across transformation layers and ensure schema evolution is handled correctly. **Requirements** ### **Core QA skills (both tracks)** * 3\+ years of experience in QA automation or software testing. * Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and GitHub Actions. * Experience testing in multi\-tenant SaaS environments. * Strong problem\-solving skills and ability to diagnose complex quality issues. * English fluency (C1/C2\). ### **Track A — Product \& E2E** * Strong hands\-on experience with Playwright for web automation. * Experience managing multiple testing environments (Dev, Staging, Production). * Ability to execute and troubleshoot tests in production environments. * Understanding of API testing and integration testing concepts. * Experience with test data management and environment setup. ### **Track B — Data \& Infrastructure** * Strong hands\-on experience with test automation frameworks for Python (pytest, unittest) and TypeScript/JavaScript (Jest, Mocha). * Hands\-on experience with ETL processes and data pipeline testing. * Experience with AWS data services: S3, Lambda, EventBridge, and at least one of Glue, Athena, or similar. * Understanding of data structures, data modeling, and data lineage concepts. * Experience testing event\-driven architectures and distributed systems. **Preferred Qualifications** ### **Shared** * Experience in regulated or healthcare environments (HIPAA compliance). * Experience with monorepo architectures. * Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate cross\-functionally. ### **Track A** * Knowledge of Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript for test utilities. * Familiarity with monitoring and alerting tools. * Experience with performance testing and load testing basics. * ISTQB certification or similar QA credentials. ### **Track B** * Experience reading and understanding CDK or CloudFormation templates. * Knowledge of data quality validation tools such as Great Expectations or similar. * Experience validating API Gateway integrations and serverless architectures. **Our Benefits** ---------------- In addition to competitive salaries, this role includes: * Formal employment (“Planilla”) under a Peruvian entity — all legal benefits in soles (CTS, Gratificaciones, etc.). * Full\-time schedule: Monday–Friday, 9am–6pm. * Unlimited vacation days — yes, we mean it! * EPS healthcare (Rimac) covered 100%. * Oncology insurance (Rimac) covered 100%. * AFP retirement plan. * Coworking access in Miraflores, Lima — with free beverages, talks, bicycle parking, and amazing city views. * Company laptop and tools provided. *Disclaimer: This position is also open for candidates with some kind of disabilities that are part of the CONADIS list. The coworking is adequate for people with special mobility needs.* **Our Company** --------------- We have a relatively flat organizational structure here at OpenLoop. Everyone is encouraged to bring ideas to the table and make things happen. This fits in well with our core values of Autonomy, Competence and Belonging, as we want everyone to feel empowered and supported to do their best work. Sound like a good fit? We’d love to meet you.
