Coordinate loading, wiring, and detonation activities **BLASTING FOREMAN – UNDERGROUND MINE** **Schedule:** 14x7 **Location:** Pampa de Cobre Mining Company – Chapi Mine **Work Mode:** On-site at the mine **Job Description** A mining-sector company is currently seeking a **Blasting Foreman – Underground Mine** for a rock blasting project using explosives in an underground mining operation located at **Pampa de Cobre Mining Company – Chapi Mine**. This position targets candidates with underground mine experience, responsible for leading, coordinating, and supervising underground blasting operational activities, ensuring personnel safety, orderly execution of tasks, adherence to established procedures, and proper coordination with operational and SSOMA (Safety, Health, Environment, and Community) departments. **Main Responsibilities** * Supervise and direct underground blasting operational activities. * Coordinate loading, wiring, evacuation, detonation, and post-blast activities according to established procedures. * Verify compliance with underground mine safety procedures. * Lead and manage operational personnel assigned to underground blasting activities. * Coordinate daily field activities with the Blasting Supervisor and the SSOMA department. * Inspect safety conditions at work areas, working faces, access routes, and blast-affected zones. * Ensure proper use of blasting equipment, tools, materials, and accessories. * Verify safe conditions before, during, and after each blasting activity. * Support ventilation control, personnel evacuation, and site organization per instructions from the Blasting Supervisor and SSOMA. * Maintain order, cleanliness, and discipline in the work area. * Report progress, incidents, unsafe acts, and unsafe conditions. * Comply with and enforce applicable safety standards for underground mine work and explosive-related activities. **Requirements** * Completed secondary education or technical training (preferred). * Minimum 2 years of experience as a Blasting Foreman or in similar roles. * Experience in underground blasting. * Experience in underground mine work. * Knowledge of handling, loading, and wiring explosives in underground mining. * Basic knowledge of ventilation, evacuation, gas monitoring, and safety conditions in underground operations. * Experience leading operational personnel on-site. * Familiarity with basic mining safety regulations. * Availability to work under a 14x7 schedule. * Availability to work at Pampa de Cobre Mining Company – Chapi Mine. **Working Conditions** * **Workplace:** Pampa de Cobre Mining Company – Chapi Mine. * **Operation Type:** Underground mine. * **Schedule:** 14x7. * **Project Duration:** Approximately 6 months. * **Meals:** Provided at the on-site camp. * **Accommodation:** Provided on-site. * **Transportation:** Provided between Arequipa – Mine – Arequipa. * **Employment Type:** MYPE regime. **Compensation** Starting from **S/ 4,000.00**, based on experience and evaluation.
