This role ensures critical data is managed according to standards of quality, observability, and control, facilitating the work of Data Owners, Data Stewards, and Data Custodians. It contributes to understanding data flows, identifying risks, and enabling continuous improvement, generating value and operational efficiency through reliable and well-governed data. **Key Responsibilities**: * Implementation and support of data governance processes. + Define regional and local governance guidelines, policies, standards, and best practices. + Facilitate adoption of the data governance operating model across business and technology areas. + Support implementation of country-specific regulations from a data governance perspective, translating regulatory requirements into processes and controls. * End-to-end management of metadata, definitions, and documentation. + Guide creation, maintenance, and alignment of business and technical metadata. + Document and update glossaries, dictionaries, business rules, data flows, traceability, and processes. + Facilitate understanding of information flows and identify risks arising from data usage, production, and transformation. * Data quality, profiling, and observability. + Perform data profiling to identify issues related to integrity, consistency, duplication, completeness, and anomalies. + Implement data observability practices and metrics to monitor data health and detect incidents. + Apply root cause analysis techniques and coordinate remediation and continuous improvement plans to enhance the quality of critical data. * Support for Data Owners, Stewards, and Custodians. + Guide identification, prioritization, and management of critical data. + Provide tools, methodologies, and functional support to ensure proper execution of responsibilities for each role. + Ensure critical data adheres to governance, quality, and control standards. * Facilitation and support for governance committees and structures. + Coordinate and facilitate operational and executive-level data governance committees. + Prepare analyses, reports, and recommendations to support informed decision-making. + Enable cross-functional communication and governance to foster an organizational culture focused on data value. **Job Requirements**: * Professionals with degrees in Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Financial Engineering, Economics, Finance, Administration, or related fields. * Courses, diplomas, or postgraduate programs related to data governance and strategy—or closely related disciplines—completed or currently in progress. * Minimum 4 years of proven experience designing and implementing hybrid federated governance models that support key performance indicators tracked by executive data committees. * Minimum 3 years of experience in data quality, with quantifiable evidence of business-impacting improvements—not dimension-based metrics only. * Experience with at least one metadata and cataloging tool (e.g., Ontos, Unity Catalog, Purview, Anajana, etc.). * Experience designing and managing master and reference data from a data governance perspective. * Intermediate knowledge of SQL or Python. * Familiarity with the DMBOK framework is desirable. * Experience in highly regulated sectors is desirable. ***This posting is open to persons with disabilities.***
