**Position Objective:**
To develop and deliver piping discipline design deliverables (drawings, 3D models, and associated documentation) for mining sector projects across all phases, based on engineering input and in compliance with applicable standards, codes, and specifications.
**Key Responsibilities:**
· Prepare piping drawings: orthographics, isometrics, and general layouts.
· Develop 3D piping and pipeline modeling using AVEVA E3D, AutoCAD Plant 3D, and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
· Prepare pump line (pipeline) drawings and fluid transport systems.
· Generate and update P\&ID and PFD diagrams according to the definition level of each project phase.
· Prepare quantity take-offs, metric calculations, and material take-off (MTO) lists.
· Deliver design outputs across all project phases:
o Conceptual studies
o Prefeasibility (PFS)
o Feasibility (FS)
o Basic engineering
o Detailed engineering
· Apply defined engineering criteria (non-calculative), ensuring accurate representation in drawings and models.
· Coordinate with disciplines (process, mechanical, civil, electrical, instrumentation) to ensure interference-free, compatible, and constructible designs.
· Review and optimize piping routes and layouts based on operational and construction criteria.
· Comply with applicable codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., ASME, API, ISO) and client specifications.
· Ensure quality and HSE standards are met in all deliverables.
· Meet established timelines for each project phase.
· Provide technical support and guidance to junior and semi-senior designers.

**What will you bring?**
**Software, Processes, and Tools:**
**Academic Qualifications, Accreditations, Training:** Graduate of a technical school related to mechanical and piping design.
**Specific Knowledge:** Modeling and design for piping systems in concentrator plants, underground mining, pumping stations, and pipeline infrastructure for mining projects—including process water, compressed air, tailings, mineral concentrate, and fire protection systems. Proficiency in technical specifications, design standards, and codes for mechanical and piping disciplines. Experience in infrastructure, oil & gas is highly valued.
**Specific Experience:** Minimum verifiable 10 years’ experience as a Piping Designer on greenfield and brownfield mining projects, or in an equivalent role.
**HSE Skills:** Actively promotes behaviors aligned with our LIFE value and HSE policies applicable to the Mechanical / Piping discipline.
**IT Skills:** Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft suite (Project, Word, PowerPoint, Excel); expert-level proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, AutoCAD Civil, AutoCAD Plant 3D, and AVEVA E3D).
**Personal Competencies:** Effective communication skills. Ability to adapt to new situations. Teamwork capability, participatory and collaborative attitude, integrating colleagues from other teams and offices.
