Opportunities for professional development in an excellent work environment A market-leading company engaged in the production and distribution of fast-moving consumer goods in the food category is currently seeking top talent to fill the vacancy: Microbiology Analyst REQUIREMENTS: Graduate in Biology, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Food Technology, or related field. Knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices, GMP, GHP, HACCP. Proficiency in Microsoft Windows. Knowledge of food microbiology. Prior experience in the dairy industry is preferred. RESPONSIBILITIES: Request materials and supplies—including culture media—in advance from the Quality Assurance Manager required for performing microbiological analyses. Prepare necessary materials for analyses (e.g., preparation of culture media and conditioning of glassware). Receive samples to be subjected to microbiological evaluation; conduct sampling at various stages of the production process when required. Perform scheduled microbiological sampling and analysis of water, living and inert surfaces, products, and environmental swabbing, and prepare corresponding reports. Conduct luminometer swabbing on production surfaces to verify cleaning and disinfection effectiveness prior to line startup. Update and maintain the culture media ledger, ensuring accurate recording of receipts, usage, and stock levels. Verify incubator temperatures and record data on the appropriate form. Inspect and confirm proper condition and functionality of laboratory equipment and instruments; immediately report any issues to the Quality Assurance Manager. Handle and analyze Petrifilm plates as a rapid method for microbiological determination. Record sample identification and detailed descriptions clearly, completely, and systematically in the microbiology notebook. Measure pH of milk samples after incubation and report results. Complete relevant forms clearly and legibly. Maintain laboratory order and cleanliness. Measure residual chlorine in storage tanks.
