Job Summary:
Conducts inspection, diagnosis, and repair of refrigerated containers to ensure proper functionality and support import and export operations.

3. Collaborates in the operational management of reefer containers across various locations.
REEFER TECHNICIAN
Conduct appropriate inspections of container conditions, identifying structural damage for subsequent reporting to associated shipping lines. Support all operational tasks required to ensure continuous import and export container flow.
FUNCTIONS
Assign refrigerated containers in stock on-site according to the nature and condition of cargo to be loaded, followed by system assignment by Customer Service.
Perform diagnosis or inspection of refrigerated containers from associated lines using PTI (Pre-Trip Inspection).
Carry out refrigeration system repairs on reefer containers upon approval of cost estimates for repair-related expenses (in accordance with each line’s established criteria for reefer container repair).
Provide assistance, support, or repair services for reefer containers at port, vessel, or client facilities.
Prepare monthly reports aligned with tasks completed by the reefer technician.
Deliver Cold Treatment services, including:
Supporting IICL inspectors during inspections of refrigerated containers.
Performing any other tasks assigned within the scope of professional competence.

Requirements
Graduate of Industrial Refrigeration, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, or related technical programs. Training in container repair and knowledge of reefer repair (Thermo King, Carrier, Daikin, Star Cool, Super Freezer, and Controlled Atmosphere). Minimum 1 year of experience as a Reefer Technician. Availability to work at Oquendo. Availability to work rotating shifts.
