Job Summary: We are seeking a junior technician or student with a willingness to learn, who will support mechanical maintenance of the Sinosteel rolling mill gearbox, following safety procedures and maintaining workplace order. Job Objective Provide support in disassembly, cleaning, inspection, assembly, and mechanical maintenance of the Sinosteel rolling mill gearbox, following instructions from the responsible technician, complying with safety procedures, and maintaining order in the work area. 2\. Required Education · Graduate, student, or junior technician in Mechanical Maintenance, Production Mechanics, Maintenance Mechanics, or Machinery and Tools. · Minimum desirable experience: 6 months to 1 year in workshops, pre-professional internships, or supporting roles in industrial maintenance. · Candidates with limited experience may also be considered, provided they possess basic knowledge of hand tools, workplace order, and willingness to learn. 3\. Desired Basic Knowledge · Use of hand tools: wrenches, sockets, torque wrenches, grinders, drills, pullers, and auxiliary mechanical tools. · Basic knowledge of bolts, nuts, bearings, bushings, seals, sleeves, shafts, and power transmission components. · Basic ability to read mechanical drawings and identify components. · Basic measurement using vernier calipers, tape measures, squares, height gauges, and dial indicators under supervision. · Cleaning, protection, and preparation of mechanical parts. · Basic knowledge of industrial safety, use of PPE, and safe workshop practices. 4\. Main Responsibilities · Assist in disassembly and assembly of components of the Sinosteel rolling mill gearbox. · Perform cleaning of parts, removal of grease, dirt, rust, or machining residues. · Assist in moving and positioning bushings, columns, covers, shafts, and accessories, always under supervision. · Organize, identify, and sort disassembled bolts, nuts, covers, seals, and components. · Assist in visual inspection for wear, impact marks, cracks, or damaged components. · Assist the mechanical technician during measurements using height gauges, vernier calipers, dial indicators, or other instruments. · Support greasing, lubrication, and protection of machined surfaces. · Keep tools and the work area clean and orderly at the end of each shift. · Assist in photographic documentation of maintenance and assembly progress. · Follow instructions from the maintenance supervisor and comply with safety procedures. 5\. Physical Requirements of the Position · Stand for the duration of the work shift, with rest minutes as required by law. · Assist in transporting tools and smaller components. · Work near heavy equipment, always under supervision and with appropriate safety permits. · Correctly wear helmet, safety goggles, gloves, safety shoes, hearing protection, and other required PPE. · Perform cleaning, assembly, and mechanical support tasks in an industrial environment. 7\. Desirable (but not mandatory) Experience · Internships in mechanical, metal-mechanical, or industrial workshops. · Support experience in maintenance of heavy machinery or production equipment. · Basic experience in assembly and disassembly of mechanical equipment. · Prior knowledge of or exposure to bearings, shafts, bushings, or power transmission systems. 8\. Recommended Profile We seek a junior technical professional with limited experience but strong willingness to learn, capable of supporting the maintenance team in repairing and assembling the Sinosteel rolling mill gearbox. It is essential that the candidate be careful, organized, responsible, and compliant with instructions from the assigned technical staff. Salary: S/.1,350.00 \- S/.1,500.00 per hour Work Location: On-site employment
