The Role The Funding Specialist owns the backend funding process from credit eligibility to capital secured. You take fully prepped clients, design the right lender strategy, guide them through the application process, and provide client support throughout the funding process. **Bottom line — WE ARE GETTING OUR CLIENTS MONEY. Do you have the experience and know\-how to make that happen?** **Location:** Remote — United States **Type:** Full\-Time **Compensation:** Discussed at time of offer What You'll Do * Analyze client credit and financial profiles and design lender sequence strategies * Guide clients through the full funding application process * Communicate directly with banks and lenders on behalf of clients * Handle denials, pivots, and objections without losing momentum * Track all pipeline activity in our CRM — nothing lives in your head * Surface problems and solutions proactively — never wait to be asked What We're Looking For **You must already have:** * Deep knowledge of the U.S. credit system — personal and business credit, scoring models, and what lenders actually weight * Experience with business lending: SBA, lines of credit, MCA, equipment financing, and alternative funding sources * Comfort communicating directly with banks and lenders * Ability to read a financial profile and build a realistic, strategic funding plan **You are:** * **Proactive** — you see problems coming and are already working on the solution * **Solution\-minded** — you bring options, not just problems * **Humble** — you care about the client winning, not who gets credit * **Self\-directed** — given direction, you execute independently * **Emotionally intelligent** — you can hold space for clients in high\-stress financial situations * **Reliable** — you say it, you do it, every time * **Highly motivated** — you want to be excellent, not just employed * **Clear English communicator** — written and verbal, professional and client\-facing This Is Not The Role For You If * You need daily direction or supervision * This is a new career field you're trying to break into * You disappear when things get hard * You overpromise to keep clients happy * English is not your primary language or you're not fully comfortable communicating professionally in writing and on calls How to Apply Send an email with your resume and a **2–3 minute voice memo** to **hire@rylandpartners.com** "Tell us a little bit about yourself, your prior experience working in finance, why you liked working in finance, and what you didn't like.
