Proactive, organized, and sociable **SAFETY ENGINEER** **ACADEMIC QUALIFICATION LEVEL:** UNIVERSITY GRADUATE / BACHELOR'S DEGREE / TECHNICIAN **SPECIALIZATION:** PROFESSIONAL I / TECHNICIAN IN SAFETY, OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH, ENVIRONMENTAL, HYGIENE ENGINEERING, INDUSTRIAL ENGINEERING, ETC., WITH SPECIALIZATION IN OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH. **EXPERIENCE:** 3 years of experience in high-risk work. **REQUIREMENTS:** ● Knowledge of integrated management systems. ● Knowledge of Law No. 29783: Occupational Safety and Health Law. ● Knowledge of Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA). ● In-depth knowledge of Safety Standards under Law No. 29783, Supreme Decree No. 005, ISO 45001. ● Knowledge of Occupational Risk Management. ● Knowledge of Accident Investigation Methodology. ● Advanced-level Office software proficiency. ● Proactive, organized, and sociable. ● Identification with and loyalty to the Company; courteous and friendly conduct. ● Enthusiastic. ● Willingness to travel is MANDATORY (PROJECT LOCATION: CHIQUIAN). **FUNCTIONAL UNIT OBJECTIVE:** ENSURE COMPLIANCE WITH SPECIFIC SAFETY AND HEALTH OBJECTIVES AND WORK IN ACCORDANCE WITH PROCEDURAL STANDARDS. **MAIN FUNCTIONS:** · Managing risk management, accident prevention, and allocation of safety resources. · Ensuring the safety of all company personnel, as well as preventing environmental damage. **SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS:** · Achieving departmental objectives related to Safety, Occupational Health, and Environment. · Communicating internal occupational safety and health regulations of the Company. · Monitoring compliance with internal Occupational Safety and Health regulations. · Analyzing and assessing risks associated with each task performed in the field, workshop, and office. · REVIEWING specific safe work procedures. · Ensuring compliance with work procedures in the field, workshop, and office. · CONDUCTING induction and training sessions for new staff. · Evaluating the inventory of critical tasks. · Providing personnel with personal protective equipment. · Actively participating in accident investigations when they occur. · Requesting permits for daily work on site. · Ensuring compliance with client requirements regarding occupational safety and health. · Responsible for initiating corrective actions following Root Cause Analysis in case of non-conformities. · Inspecting and reporting deviations in the workplace to implement immediate corrective measures and prevent occupational accidents. · Instructing and verifying that workers understand and comply with safety standards and correctly use appropriate personal protective equipment for each task. · Informing workers about workplace hazards. · Conducting job-specific safety risk analyses. · Taking all necessary precautions to protect workers by verifying and analyzing compliance with Hazard Identification and Risk Evaluation and Control (HIRA) conducted by workers within their respective work areas, to eliminate or minimize risks. · MONITORING ONGOING COMPLIANCE WITH CONTROLS DESCRIBED IN THE HIRA MATRIX AND THE OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH MANAGEMENT SYSTEM AT THE PLANT. · ENSURING IMPLEMENTATION OF THE ANNUAL OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH PROGRAM AND THE ANNUAL SAFETY PLAN. · EVALUATING THE EFFECTIVENESS OF OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH PROGRAMS. · PREVENTING AND CONTROLLING ACCIDENTAL DAMAGE TO COMPANY PROPERTY. · COMPLYING WITH AND ENFORCING SAFETY AND HEALTH REGULATIONS, PROCEDURES, AND INSTRUCTIONS, AS WELL AS ENVIRONMENTAL REGULATIONS CONTAINED IN THE OSH MANAGEMENT SYSTEM AND APPLICABLE LEGISLATION.
