Position Summary: Valtx is seeking a FrontEnd Developer to migrate, refactor, and maintain applications, integrate real-time APIs, and ensure high performance with a focus on UX. Key Highlights: 1. Application development and maintenance using modern technologies. 2. Collaboration in defining coding standards and migration strategy. 3. What responsibilities will you have? Execute migration of pages and components from Pages Router (Next.js 12) to App Router (Next.js 16). Refactor existing components adopting Server Components and Client Components as appropriate. Integrate and maintain real-time Sportsbook APIs (odds, live data, sporting events). Ensure high availability and performance under high-concurrent-traffic scenarios. Implement and maintain reusable UI components with a focus on UX for betting platforms. Collaborate with the Technical Lead in defining coding standards and phased migration strategy. Perform unit and integration testing to ensure functional parity post-migration. What qualifications do you need? Academic background: Technical or university degree in Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fields. Experience: General experience: Minimum 5 years in frontend development with React / Next.js Next.js-specific experience: Minimum 3 years working with Next.js 12+ and App Router in production projects Real-time APIs: Experience with WebSockets or SSE for consuming real-time data (odds, live scores, etc.) High traffic: Experience building applications handling high volumes of concurrent users; knowledge of render optimization and lazy loading Required technical knowledge: Core Framework Next.js 12–16 Pages Router + App Router React 18 Hooks, Context, Suspense TypeScript strict typing Turbopack Bundler Next.js 13+ Server Components RSC / Client Components ESLint / Prettier coding standards Data & Real-Time APIs REST APIs integration with sportsbook WebSockets / SSE for live data / odds TanStack Query caching + real-time data Zustand / Redux state management UI & Components Tailwind CSS utility-first styling CSS Modules scoped styles Storybook reusable components Testing Jest unit testing for React Testing Library integration testing Playwright / Cypress end-to-end testing DevOps & Tooling Git / Git Flow version control Docker containers Work conditions: Hybrid work model, Monday–Friday, 9 AM to 6 PM Benefits: Full payroll registration from day one.
